About Us
Bistro Bookkeeping Services was founded in June 2024 by Marilyn Tighe to support restaurant owners with financial clarity and confidence. After decades working in and managing restaurants, Marilyn saw how overwhelming the financial side of the industry can be—especially for new operators. She created the company to offer dependable bookkeeping for hospitality and practical guidance that helps owners understand their numbers and build sustainable systems.
With more than 45 years in hospitality and 25+ years handling restaurant accounting and payroll, Marilyn brings deep industry insight. Her partnership with Click Bacon allows clients to track food costs in real time, helping them make quick, informed decisions. She provides bookkeeping, payroll, tax filing, support using QuickBooks, and hands-on assistance to help restaurants succeed.

Marilyn Tighe
I’m Marilyn Tighe, the founder and owner of Bistro Bookkeeping Services. I bring more than 45 years of experience in the hospitality industry and over 25 years handling restaurant accounting and payroll. My career has always been rooted in both food service and numbers, and I’ve learned firsthand how challenging and rewarding this industry can be. I’ve maintained strong food cost margins, supported multiple restaurant operations, and worked in accounting roles outside the restaurant world as well—all of which shaped the way I serve my clients today.
My transition into full-time bookkeeping began when I discovered a bookkeeping course that reignited my passion for financial work. From there, I joined a mentorship program that continues to give me 24/7 support from CPAs, bookkeepers, and accounting professionals. It has helped me grow my skills and stay connected to a community dedicated to helping business owners succeed.
Outside of work, I love traveling, gardening, decorating, boating, and spending time outdoors. I’m happiest with my husband, my two adult children, and my three dogs who all hold a special place in my heart. Helping people build successful restaurants brings me real joy, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to make their path a little easier.
